After the fanzine Art In Revolution, Blokdijk worked for the underground magazine BOH (1982) and Abrahadabra (1985). In 1987 he founded the Maldoror Foundation, which was active as an independent publishing company for almost ten years. Maldoror published original texts by befriended artists, translations of Charles Baudelaire and William Burroughs and much more. In recent years he made art books with clients of a large mental health institution under the moniker Maldoracca.
